At Humm House, we believe that good design helps good ideas grow. But for many small nonprofits and purpose-driven businesses, branding often slips to the bottom of the to-do list. Budgets often get directed to programming, community work and general survival, leaving little room to refine how your mission looks and feels to the world.
That’s where the Humm Forward Project comes in.
This year, one purpose-driven change-maker can receive complimentary design strategy and support to help bring their brand to life with a complimentary Brand Clarity Session and a Logo Design Intensive.

How the Humm Forward Project Supports You
Investing in your branding can open doors of communication with your people, connecting and retaining a community who wants to support you and your mission. First, we need to dig into your brand story, and develop a strategy before jumping into your visual identity design. That’;s where the Brand Clarity Session comes in, kickstarting our process before we even start talking about colors and logos.
Once we create our brand foundation, then we can head into the Logo Design Intensive to deliver a visual identity that reflects your brand personality. This two-step process ensures that we are making our design choices based on strategy and the goals you’re working towards.
Brand Clarity Session:
In this 90-minute clarity session, we’ll dig into the soul of your business: who you serve, why you exist, and how you show up as a brand with purpose.
Together, we’ll uncover what makes you unmistakable so you can move forward with confidence, cohesion, and a clear creative direction. You’ll walk away with a foundational Brandventure Roadmap guide with actionable steps for a renewed energy for what’s next.
Logo Design Intensive in 2 weeks
Your logo is your brand’s first impression; the handshake, smile, outfit - all in one. Let’s craft a logo that screams iconic and looks just as good as the service or products you provide.
You’ll receive a professional, personalized logo design, branded color palette and typography system that you can implement across all brand touch points. You’ll have everything you need to level up your brand and match the impact of your mission.
You’ll be a part of a new Logo Design Intensive, where we work together in a focused, 2 week period to build out the visual identity. The selected recipient will work closely with us during this window, providing timely feedback and staying engaged throughout.
This doesn’t mean that you’ll get anything less in terms of quality and output - that you can be sure of. Instead, we can set aside this time to put all of our energy in to stay focused and immersed.
Who Should Apply
The Humm Forward Initiative is open to:
- Registered nonprofits
- Social enterprises and B Corps
- Small businesses or community initiatives with environmental and/or social missions
If you’re creating positive change in the areas of wellness, sustainability, environmental stewardship, creativity, or community care, we’d love to hear from you.
This initiative is for the dreamers and doers. The activists, farmers, healers and creators building something rooted in care for people and the planet.
You might be a:
- A grassroots environmental organization or ocean conservation initiative
- Local café or bakery sourcing from organic, local farms
- A regenerative farm or agricultural educational group
- A youth program focused on outdoor education
- Slow fashion brand or ethical product line emphasizing natural materials
- A start-up creating nutrient-dense foods and donating to local shelters
- A wellness retreat center or collective rooted in nature and nervous system care
If your business is purpose-driven, sustainability-minded, and ready for growth, this opportunity is designed to help you share your story with clarity and confidence.
How to Apply
Applications open April 30, 2026 and close May 30, 2026.
You’ll sign up and fill out a short application with a few questions about:
- Your organization’s mission and impact
- Your current branding challenges
- How refreshed design could help you grow your reach and impact
We’ll review all submissions and select one recipient for the full brand project and one for the mini brand project based on:
- Mission alignment with the Project’s values
- Clear need for branding support
- Potential for design to expand your impact
Winners will be announced at the beginning of June, and the project will roll out in June.
Applicants must be a US-based company and demonstrate a purpose-driven mission.
